1. Give her compliments that are very specific about her. For instance, rather than say, “You look nice” (which is not bad) but it is even better to say, “I really love you in that color, it shows off your eyes.” or “The way that dress fits you really shows off your nice figure.”

2. Learn her “language of love”. Find out if she feels more loved with words, touch, gifts, or things that you do for her. Be sure to use that way of letting her know how much you care. For instance, if she feels loved with touch, make sure to hug and kiss her every day and just hold her hand or put your arm around her when you are walking. If gifts help her to feel loved, bring her home one flower or a small piece of chocolate. It is not the cost, rather it is the thought … about her, that is important.

3. Look her in the eyes when she is talking to you.

4. Ask her what she would like to watch on television and sit next to her and watch the whole show with her.

5. Tell her about your day, your friends, your life.

6. Arrange a special date just for the two of you. Take care of making childcare arrangements, dinner reservations and all of the plans. Make sure that it is something that you know she would like to do. You might love a day at the car races along with beer and bar-b-que, but your woman may find that very boring.

7. Show affection and appreciation for her in front of relatives, and especially in front of your friends.

8. Be honest with her. Women really can take a man sharing, gently, his concerns or questions. She would much rather know what bothers him than to have to try to figure it all out!

9. Send her texts, emails or voice mails during the day with simple notes just to let her know that you are thinking about her.

10. Show her that you respect her ideas and opinions. Listen to her ideas, ask questions to understand more of what she is thinking and feeling and respect her influence.

If you spliced Charles Addams, Dr. Seuss, Charles Dickens, Edward Gorey, and Roald Dahl into a Tim Burtonesque landscape, you'd surely come up with something like Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events. Many critics (in mostly mixed reviews) wondered why Burton didn't direct this comically morbid adaptation of the first three books in the popular series by Daniel Handler (a.k.a. "Lemo...
