Auto accident settlement too low, take it to small claims court?

I was hit by a car, he was at fault. 15K is all the negligent driver had, attorney wont pursue him because he has nothing. I owe about 30K for medical bills plus more needed medical care for my broken leg. Because that bastard has caused me a lot of problems and money, I would like to take this to small claims court and try to get the maximum, which I believe is 5K (California). I did sign a release for the 15K and on there it was stated that the man at fault is forever discharged/ fully released from everything he has caused. Does this mean I can’t sue him in small claims court? I know 5K isn’t much when compared to everything I have lost, but at least I want this man pay something and maybe force him to think about what he did. Any feed back will be much appreciated. Thanks.
That man was more than negligent and should never be allowed to drive again because he might kill someone.

You have signed away any other legal recourse. You might want to duke it out with the guy now.

divorce credit rating
ryan, how can i recieve a higher credit rating, my debt to income ratio is too high?

with all those debts on my record, my income/debt ratio is too high! the divorce provided specifically the debt he is responsible for, i have asked him to remove my name as he is the primary card holder. on the house, he was supposed to re-finance, i signed a quick claim deed, and was given my share, why does it still show up?

It can take 3-6 months to come off your credit report depending on when he rakes your name off and when the company finally updates the credit agency. If you need a loan, get written confirmation from the credit card company and some lenders will take that into consideration.

divorce england history
Name a Catholic king who has had a divorce/annullment, and stayed within the church – not been excommunicated?

Alright, I was watching “The Tudors” yesterday – I know, not the best place to learn about history… – and, when trying to convince Wallsley to take him getting a divorce seriously, King Henry VIII says that “it” – kings having a divorce – has happened before?
I thought that it hadn’t and that the only reason he set up the Church of England was so he could get a divorce – because the Catholic Church would NEVER allow a king to get a divorce/annullment – especially after having kids???
So, am I reading too much into it and the line was just “artistic licence”, or had kings gotten divorces before??

It is not a sin to get a divorce- so it is likely a king had been divorced.

The sin is in remarrying without an annullment.
